Windows Live Messenger不用多說，是英文版的，給想嘗鮮的朋友試試。
明顯之更新是加入了"Group"，也就是群組功能。另外，聯絡人名單裡還多了一個"Favorites"分類，始終顯示在最上方，可顯示聯繫人的詳細資料。
聊天對話框裡頭像被轉移到了窗口左側，還加入了一個"PhotoShare"功能，可以在聊天窗口內添加、刪除、共享照片。
